More Crafting

Today we tried our hands at freezer stencils. Very simple. Very fun. And a very inexpensive, personalized gift when done with a thrifted shirt. We’ll post pictures tomorrow.
In other crafty news I’m working (mentally) on a skirt for myself and a cute apron. First though I’m going to try to copy my favorite jammie pants to make another pair or two for me.

I may have to make this a tradition. A weekend of crafting after Thanksgiving. Fabulous!

Sewing Blind

I’m thinking of finding myself a class. I need a little help. Okay a lot of help. Today I stopped by Joann’s to try to find a couple things. One of which were the parts I need to finish a knit shirt. Um….yeah well they didn’t have a sign that said “hey newbie what you need is right here!!” So I didn’t find that. I’m also really wanting to change a skirt I have into one with a knit waist band. Actually most of my troubles at the moment center around knit fabrics. With my basic cotton woven I’m still cruising along okay. In fact I’m cooking a project right now that I should get back too. Just wanted to take a moment out to whine about my current level of stoopid. Sometimes being new at something is almost enough to make you rethink trying the new in the first place!
