Oh yeah then this happened:
More crafty goodness soon. I’m scurrying around finishing up projects like there is only a week till Christmas! Oh wait there IS ONLY A WEEK TILL CHRISTMAS! (EEEK!)
Well. That was a busy week indeed.
On the first day I ran errands all day long ending up at home near supper time. Nothing big but lots of little things like the fabric for the boys’ christmas eve pants.
On the second day I visited my dentist and then scooped by to pick up my friend’s child for a sleep over with my boys. The boys stayed home with Gramps rather than sit at my dentist appointment. Once home I had three delighted children running around on what was one of our final lovely, sunny days. Dec 1 was a no jackets day.
Day 3 we gave back our little friend and then dashed off to make some christmas ornaments. Did you know that pumpkins are christmas ornaments? As are rockets? Well they are here! Boys had a great time and added several crafty things to their wishlist.
Day 4 Campfire for the boys and then a haircut for me. So far I’m loving it! But I haven’t managed to snap a really great picture. For those that know me well this would be the shortest my hair has probably ever been since I was a child. Its about chin length which is huge (to me) difference from below my shoulders!
Day 5 I rested!! Oh and I baked cookies. And I started a knitted christmas gift.
Day 6 Travel and Visits
Day 7 Travel home.
And now today we are settling in for a few long, snow filled days here. Current inch count stands at 12 inches. We’ll see what it looks like in the morning!!
1. Thanksgiving was such fun this year!
2. Tree is up and the house is getting cleaned for the upcoming Christmas things.
3. Tried a new bread recipe…back to the drawing board with that one.
4. Just a few more “make it” gifts to do. Boy cousins are hard this year to find something that is age appropriate etc.
5. Appointments cropped up together again so this is a run and do week again.
6. Roku is my kids’ new favorite place to stop for cartoons. Sad that PBS isn’t but so many of the programs are for Pre-K anymore.
7. Wondering if we’ll have snow for Christmas.
8. Started baking for the holidays well candy making with our “bacon and eggs” last night.
