Simplify

The stuff is what gets to me. Just this morning we’re trying to move a few books from one shelf to another, but first we have to move the massive pile of legos off the shelf and then the books so finally we can shelve the boxes that hold the school books.

Simplifying has got to be the most painful and frustrating process in my life. How does one decide what to keep? And how does one get the others in the house to LET THINGS GO!

I’m constantly striving to decrease the stuff in the house. And I’m always trying to be mindful of what I’m bringing in to the house. Yet the STUFF persists.

This coming weekend I’ve determined we’ll be filling the back end of the truck and disposing of some of that dratted stuff. Because I’m just done. And so very tired of moving STUFF that doesn’t fit from one place to the next.

Good bye stuff. I don’t think I’ll miss you at all.

I may hate my chair…

I may hate my chair but I love my seat. I am currently working on writing out my plan for next year at the same time I am enjoying the rain, cool breeze and my kids’ lovely bedtime cd. Not a bad way to end the day.

I do however hate my chair. Actually I hate my whole office set up. But I am not inclined to spend money on a different set up. Why? Because the chair I *want* is seven hundred dollars or some such equally crazy number. But it is SO cool and comfy.

Until I get that new chair I guess I’ll just enjoy my window view of the storm.

Of course

Just when I mentally decide to blog again my computer starts having issues.
And my camera batteries run out of power.
Then my calendar has one of those super busy weeks where I just try to get to the end of the week.

But you know what?

While I’m not blogging or tweeting or meandering around the internet I’m busy living. So I guess that is a WIN!

Things we did this last week in no particular order:

Cleaned up a few piles around the farm.
Cuddled baby bunnies.
Checked the new chickens
Snuggled under blankets when it got chilly again.
Saw friends back from vacation.
Played piano.
Sewed up a simple skirt.
Visited friends for one of those refreshing short visits.
Watered thirsty animals.
Cooked and cooked some more.
Read books.
Sang songs.
Washed laundry. Dried laundry. Folded laundry. Repeated several times.
Gathered eggs.
Breathed in the crisp air on a star filled night.
