What’s the last thing you ate?
Black bean chowder

What’s your favorite cheese?
Mexican White Cheddar

What’s your favorite fish?
Orange Roughy. I like it steamed with just a bit of lemon.

What’s your favorite fruit?
By itself peaches. In things lemons

When, if ever, did you start liking olives?
I only like black olives and didn’t start liking them until I was an adult. Mostly on pizza and tacos!

When, if ever, did you start liking beer?
Never. ever. ever. blech as my youngest would say.

When, if ever, did you start liking shellfish?
Shrimp? Always. Scallops as a teen. Lobster and Crab in my 20’s. Oysters and Clams..ewww (not yet!)

What was the best thing your parent/s used to make?
Roasted Leg of Lamb

What’s the native specialty of your home town?
I don’t have one but my hubby’s home town specialty was Tavern Dogs (ground beef and onion on a hot dog)

What’s your comfort food?
Tea and Toast in the AM. Macaroni and Cheese baked in the PM.

What’s your favorite type of chocolate?
Dark with coconut

How do you like your steak?
medium well it must not moo at me!

How do you like your burger?
well done

How do you like your eggs?
Fried with the white completely cooked and the yolk liquid but not runny. Better just let me cook my own egg.

How do you like your potatoes?
I have never met a potato I didn’t like – but I especially like potato pancakes.

How do you take your coffee?
With Milk (or half/half) and honey. I like it fru-fru too so flavorings and whipped if I’m out.

How do you take your tea?
with honey nothing else.

What’s your favorite mug?
My favorite is the mug my sister gave me a few years back and the Raggedy Ann & Andy mugs I found last year.

What’s your cookie of choice?
Chocolate Dipped Almond Biscotti


What’s your ideal breakfast?
Eggs, Toast, Coffee

Turkey on Foccacia with mixed greens

Popcorn Flour Foccacia Crust, Tomato, Basil, Garlic with Mozzarella

What’s your ideal pie (sweet or savory)?
Lemon Cream Cheese or Chicken Pot Pie – I have favorites for both savory and sweet.

I adore a Cobb salad.

heh…let’s just take my top five things: Milk, Yogurt, Buttermilk, Jam and Tortillas

Beef, Chicken and Pork

flour, sugar, beans and pasta

Basil, Cumin, Chili Powder and Tarragon

Christine tagged me for a bit of fun. On the Fourth note we spent the day in the garden, in the pool, in the sandbox, in the outdoors. Pretty much the whole day. Jr.’s sun freckles will be sprouted tomorrow and I think both boys have a little sun on the face – so tonight after they are sleeping I’ll sneak in and put on the aloe gel. (They can’t stand it when they are awake and both of them throw themselves onto the nearest pillow for a good healthy wipe! Guess how often that its MINE!)

9.How often do you lose your hairbrush? Every single day. I kid you not – why do you think I really wear ponytails! :P

Very timely! I out of photos for the day because my batteries in my camera died again. :P I’m probably going to have to break down and buy a new set of rechargeable batteries. Why? Because I misplaced my 2nd set or lost them??!!

When was the most recent time you were burned?
If you mean an annoying “ouch” burn – popping popcorn just the other day. If you mean a real honest-to- goodness blister burn it was making a frosting a few months back that used a boiled sugar syrup. Now that hurt for days!

Can you cook?
I can! Cooking is a minor passion with baking being first. Though I’m what I consider a edible cook since almost everything I do cook is fairly basic and not experimental. (Except on experimental recipe night in which case it is also “backup meal in the fridge” night!)

If yes, do you like to cook?
Yes! I take pleasure in the cooking itself! So not only do I enjoy the food I make, I enjoy the process itself. I am plagued with children who eat from three main groups: pasta, nuggets and crackers. Therefore when I cook it is for myself and my dear hubby.

If no, do you want to be able to cook?

What color is your kitchen?
Orange, Cream with walnut colored wood.

Do you bake?
Often!

If yes, do you like to bake?
Yes! Baking is where I experiment the most when in the kitchen. I’m often altering recipes with interesting results. Sometimes my alterations don’t work so well but when it does it’s fantastic!

If no, do you want to bake?
See above!

What color is your apron?
I have several but my favorite is black. A friends asked me once if I wear an apron all the time. My response was “If I want my clothes to stay clean I do!” My confession here is this is a necessity for me because I am a compulsive “jeans wiper” if I don’t have an apron or at a minimum a dishcloth my jeans will inevitably be utilized.
