So it’s late again. And I’d like to write something well thought out but my brain is just slightly tired. But here’s a listing of some of my random thoughts or events of the day.

*birthday party – fun for the kids, nice chat for the mama. And I think the birthday girl liked our gift!

*Shop Class – power tools. Nothing like power tools to make little boys happy. Both boys learned to run the scroll saw today. With supervision of course. I personally think Grandpa likes shop class as much as the boys do.

*Sis. Worried just a bit about my next youngest. Saying a prayer to the universe to watch over her tonight.

*other Sis. Reminded myself to try to call her tomorrow. I never think about it until late and I’m not sure what kind of schedule the wee little baby is on. And sleep is such a precious commodity for her (my Sis) at the moment.

*Silence at Night. It is actually louder than when there is noise because when it is silent outside the dogs can hear pins drop so they BARK. A lot. Particularly Harley who sounds quite scary but also is the most deafening of our dogs when barking.

Simplify

The stuff is what gets to me. Just this morning we’re trying to move a few books from one shelf to another, but first we have to move the massive pile of legos off the shelf and then the books so finally we can shelve the boxes that hold the school books.

Simplifying has got to be the most painful and frustrating process in my life. How does one decide what to keep? And how does one get the others in the house to LET THINGS GO!

I’m constantly striving to decrease the stuff in the house. And I’m always trying to be mindful of what I’m bringing in to the house. Yet the STUFF persists.

This coming weekend I’ve determined we’ll be filling the back end of the truck and disposing of some of that dratted stuff. Because I’m just done. And so very tired of moving STUFF that doesn’t fit from one place to the next.

Good bye stuff. I don’t think I’ll miss you at all.

Love Pie

I follow a few food bloggers. You can’t really love food and specifically baking as much as I do without having a love of good writing and excellent recipes. I’m a quiet and mostly inconsequential bystander in a sea of fantastic food people. But light and love can come from anywhere.

Jennifer Perillo asked the internet to make a pie. Her husband’s favorite a peanut butter pie. And to share it with those we love.

So I did.

I made a simple pie. And filled it with all the love I could.

<3

My picture didn’t turn out. I fiddled with the recipe since I couldn’t find cookies and one of my boys doesn’t like nuts.

So My pie was just a little too soft. And my impromtu brownie crust was a little too stuck to the pan.

But it didn’t matter.

I shared my pie with the loves of my life and it was perfect.
