So I have an egg eater in my hen house. I think. Maybe. Either than or I have a hay flinger. And with nothing in the nest boxes the eggs are breaking much easier. Either way there isn’t much I can do about it until spring breaks. Well except let them out on the nice days and try to toss in other things to peck at on the not nice days.
But it is a little frustrating and makes me wonder which of my hens is the naughty bird.

We got a new wii game courtesy of Auntie P. and the cousins. The boys are delighted of course but I’m enjoying it as well. It’s called World of Goo. And it reminds me of Fantastic Contraption only instead of wheels, sticks and such you are moving goo balls which depending on the type can stick together in different ways. So far it’s challenging but still fun. And bonus Lil’B actually completed one of the levels. They seem to have a variety to the difficulty. We’re working on one now that is really hard!

Writing for 2nd Grade.
This is my new “thing to ponder” with regard to school. Jr. is fabulous at numbers, enjoys his history and science etc etc. But I am still struggling with getting him to write more than a three to five sentence story. But he will copy an entire paragraph that he has dictated out to me. I mention writing and he gives me that awful face. The one that says I’m going to fight you on this today. Also this boy does not want to use “inventive” spelling at all. And that freezes his ability to write independently because he has an overwhelming need to spell the words correctly. Not sure what I’m going to do to motivate him to write AND smooth the path so that he’s not frozen by spelling.
