I’m not a big one for resolutions. In fact I don’t really make them. Nor to I spend much time dwelling on the year previous at New Years. Most of that I do closer to Christmas. But I am setting a few projects and a couple goals for this year.

Participate in Grace in Small Things.
From Schmutzie: The world we live in is loud and harsh and bright and demanding, and it is easy to slide into a less than thoughtful survival mode in which we do what we have to do to make it through the day with the least amount of strife possible. This robs us of the time and energy to be mindful of ourselves and those we love and to recognize the grace that exists in small things.
Snickety posted this out so I followed the link and what a fantastic idea. Conscious thought to honor the small things I do, I love or am proud….Where will all that conscious positiveness take me?

Move More Everyday.
Such a simple idea that always seems to be more difficult to reach. I’m not putting time, amounts or anything on this goal. Here I am inspired by Giyen at Bacon is my Enemy. Her Shrinking Giyen photos are a level of awesome – - awesome in a way a chubby girl like myself can only really understand. I have a goal for my 35th year that pokes and nudges me to do more for my health NOW. In my 32nd year I will Move More Everyday.
Some Goals for 2009
I thought about working up a big list like those 101 in 1001 but instead I just wrote down a few that have been floating in my head for awhile. Perhaps I’ll expand this or perhaps I won’t. I’m all about being flexible this next year.
Knit at least five complete projects
Sew a shirt for myself
Set a budget and stick to it
Complete a Holiday Project each month (spread out Christmas)
Knit my first pair of socks and make them for my own toes!
Expand my chicken coop
Add rabbits and goats to our farm
PLAN the garden don’t just wing it this year!
Wishing you and yours all the best in this New Year!
