Happy Anniversary to us!

Day 10 – Twelve Years Ago Edition:

1. Multitudes of family rolled into town to celebrate with us.

2. I had hoped for a nice day. It dawned incredibly windy but I let go of my hope for outdoor pictures. Compromise started right then.

3. Em the flower girl being her adorable self and showing the audience her wonder-under-pants as 3 (4?!) yr olds do.

4. Friends that were with us then and are still with us now.

5. Finally getting to take a shower and getting all of the hairspray that was holding up my hair in its fancy-do OUT. (For the record I washed my hair twice and took an extra long time)

Day 11 – The Today Edition

1. Waking up to a Happy Anniversary from my husband which turns into a chorus of hugs and kisses along with songs of Happy Anniversary from our boys.

2. My Anniversary gift. For me (and the household in general) “new” dishes. We retired our pattern of twelve years and replaced it with a lovely set of gently used Fiesta. It was a completely appropriate set with 12 plates, 12 small plates and 12 bowls!

3. His Anniversary “gift”. The only thing that was asked for was a Chocolate Angel Food cake. With a little work and a bit of luck one puffy, chocolate cake was made.

4. A stop at an ice cream shoppe.

5. Trying a different restaurant for supper (inside joke)

Day 8 and Day 9

Thursday, October 8th, 2009

Day 8 Blast from the past edition:

1. Modern World Literature and the back way to the dorm. Without those two things I wouldn’t have bumped into my future husband.

2. Shooting midnight games of pool

3. Interview with a Vampire our first not – a – date – but – a -date movie.

4. A Christmas Kiss

5. A Spring Break discussion that would alter our course and land us where we are today.

Day 9 Just one regular day edition:

1. Quirks the ones that make each of us who we are

2. Cozy Mommy. I will miss that phrase when my youngest grows out of it. For now I will enjoy every minute that I am a “Cozy Mommy”.

3.  Cold, rainy days.

4. Rice Crispy Treats

5. Wanting to just be home with the ones you love.
