We’re very late adopters but we’re giving twitter and facebook a try. It has been interesting playing with Twitter and I think I’m enjoying micro blogging. I am enjoying keeping up with several of my favorite blog reads. I found a geologist on twitter. He’s fun to follow and I’m enjoying his witty banter about water samples and rocks.

Facebook is another animal entirely and I’m not sure how much I’ll connect up with those from my past. I’ve found several people but I have yet to click “make friend” *sigh* high school was so very long ago. And in someways I’m very different from where I was then. I am enjoying though finding a few people from college. These past few years we’ve fallen away from so many friends. I heard babies would do that to a person but now our babies aren’t well babies. So we’re having some additional time to think about our old friends.

We’ve got a little extra guy for awhile. Friends of our family had a job shift change so we are keeping their small son. This is beneficial in two directions as this is a bilingual family. Though our somewhat poor attempts at speaking spanish can be terribly amusing (as I’m positive the little boy thinks!) but what a benefit in our exposure to other languages!
