Blog Amnesty Day

The fabulous Evil Mommy said yesterday was Blog Amnesty Day. I’m not sure on the back history but I like the idea of reciprocity in linking. Which means first up: If you link to me but don’t see yourself over there ——>

Let me know in the comments so I can update and share the linky lurve.

Now for the fun (at least for me) part: A shout out to some of the small bloggers I read and enjoy.

imommy
I have had a lovely time getting to know imommy at her blog. She blogs about parenting, balance work/life and sometimes just fun stuff!

Playing With Legos
I actually stumbled upon this blog a few weeks ago when searching for lyrics to a kids song. I stayed because of the “Song of the Week” series that was starting. And of course because I’m also homeschooling lego maniacs. The bond of tiny foot mangling bricks between us made me feel right at home.

Knitting stuff and going on and on
A long time ago in a swap far away I recieved a package from Dorothy. And a note with her blog address. She blogs on crafting, parenting and other tidbits of life.

Delurk Day….Insert your “Hi” Here!

delurking2009-copy

Christine says it is Delurking Day 2009. If you are a regular here thanks so much for reading and if you are new thanks for stopping by my little place. Take a moment and let me know you were here so I can return the favor by visitingĀ  you! I used to think most of my *ahem* 3 readers were just my family, my husband and my kids’ Uncle K. catching up on all things. But then several posted comments. I still feel the thrill of knowing that I’ve connected up with someone across the miles every time someone comments. This is probably also an indication of how teeny, tiny my blog is in the internet world. But no worries I find humor in that…I really do!

And just for fun I’m linking my most popular page to this post. Are you ready? It has to be my most searched for and landed on page. Thrilling information awaits those who are stopping by for the first time.

It is my recipeĀ  Country Bean and Ham Soup. Who knew that posting out this recipe would significantly impact my site.

Happy Delurking Day to All! I’m off to make the rounds to say “hi” too!!

So much to catch up on

yet so little time!

I have several things to post. I have several people to respond to. I need to put a few things in the mail. I need to read those books I picked up (the ones for me not the kids).

I’m slowly working my way through my catch up list!

The priority this week is to return to our normal. Which means that school is back in session here at Greenfield Academy. And our Lil’B is joining the lessons instead of just floating in and out. So we’re focused on establishing that ever important morning routine. We all function better with a nice morning routine. If we can just have those first things be the same our day goes much better.

So our new routine has a bit of a change in it: Lil’B will play piano first.

I didn’t think that would be much of an issue. I was wrong! I do believe that it is a good change but boy oh boy are the children not exactly happy. Unfortunately as I told Lil’B himself: If we don’t practice first, we don’t get back to it. He used to be in the afternoon but I found we would not get there as consistently as Jr. was with his morning practices.

I’m devoting a serious chunk of time to establishing that new morning routine this week! But I’ll catch up soon. I think. I hope.

Maybe….
