I was going to post but
we had a birthday (mine!)
we celebrated Mother’s day in our fashion.
we took a quick trip! That added something to our farm.
we had another birthday (LilB!)
we had a celebration for him with some favorite “family”.
we were called away by the garden, by the geese and by the sunshine.
and just when I was about to update Jr came down with a bit of ick. Feverish ick.
so I’m going to post and catch up my lonely old blog soon.

NaBloPoMo?
It is that time of year when I find a crazy thought to once again try to post each day in November. This year it is more of an exercise in finding space for myself to write or more precisely to journal our days, our projects and more random thoughts. These past few months haven’t been kind to my record of things happening here or with the boys. So I’m hopping on the NaBloPoMo wagon and hoping to kick my blog in the butt.
So here goes a few random things about each boy to get this month started.
Jr.
1. Writes beautiful cursive and is almost through his HWT book and will shortly move onto practicing his new lovely writing with copywork.
2. Has surpassed me by several leaps and bounds in Music Theory. His new favorite thing to do with his piano music is to transpose to a different key. I am in awe of his knowledge base here.
3. Has found collectible card games. Specifically Yu-gi-oh.
4. Has taken to reading his brother a story *just because*
5. Really wishes it would stay dry for a few days now that the leaves have fallen from the maple trees.
LilB.
1. Built the Titanic out of legos.
2. Is steadily climbing that hill towards being a reader. He’s good at sounding out short words!
3. Has a different from his brother but equally interesting relationship with the Piano. He’s playing more and more on his own steam rather than being reminded to practice.
4. Sings all the time. Hums. Chants. Music flows inside this boy.
5. Has found he enjoys being a goofy (humorous) boy.
Ack! Internet outages postpone blogging
Our internet is acting up as the trees begin to lose leaves. We don’t know why but it’s happened every year for the past three. I’ve got spotty coverage for the next bit or so. We’re fiddling with our antenna and attempting to get it fixed.
Spotty and short blogging until it evens out.
