I hate that feeling you get when your “to do” list exceeds what is humanly possible.

I also hate that I need to be home a bit more than I have been. There are moments when the drive to and fro to activities eats up too much of my time. The balance between the needs of the boys and the needs of the house sometimes is a very delicate thing. We are out of balance or perhaps out of sync. Thus the house is experiencing a “cluttery” period. (that is the polite way to say messy as hell)

I’m going to go back to my plan. Start in one corner and work your way out. I only hope that I’m in a square place and not a circle.

10:17pm

So it’s late again. And I’d like to write something well thought out but my brain is just slightly tired. But here’s a listing of some of my random thoughts or events of the day.

*birthday party – fun for the kids, nice chat for the mama. And I think the birthday girl liked our gift!

*Shop Class – power tools. Nothing like power tools to make little boys happy. Both boys learned to run the scroll saw today. With supervision of course. I personally think Grandpa likes shop class as much as the boys do.

*Sis. Worried just a bit about my next youngest. Saying a prayer to the universe to watch over her tonight.

*other Sis. Reminded myself to try to call her tomorrow. I never think about it until late and I’m not sure what kind of schedule the wee little baby is on. And sleep is such a precious commodity for her (my Sis) at the moment.

*Silence at Night. It is actually louder than when there is noise because when it is silent outside the dogs can hear pins drop so they BARK. A lot. Particularly Harley who sounds quite scary but also is the most deafening of our dogs when barking.

Coyote

Every once in awhile the daily task of shutting up all my animals into their various containment systems gets to me. Then there are days like today where I see a coyote walking plain as day across my field and then he comes back in the evening checking out what might be available.

The unhappiest part is that the coyote wasn’t all that afraid of us. That is a problem and we’ll have to do some work to make sure he knows to stay in the forest and not my front yard.
