Our Jr. Picaso is making a move to garner a new name for himself. He is after Jr. Speilberg. Our budding movie director has been practicing with a still (digital) camera for awhile. He’s done several “studies” on an area or item. Photos of people are still a little complicated and he typically cuts off important parts of your anatomy. How ever he has taken some very good pictures of people too.
His favorite new thing to practice is movie making. He has his very own video tape and borrows Grandpa’s video camera. He is not exceptionally adept at directing and has yet to understand exactly how a video camera works. But he’s having fun making his “movie” and enjoys watching his product on the TV!
Perhaps we have a budding Speilberg??
Yesterday our bees arrived at the post office! Yes, we are excited about having three hives full of bees. Why? Have you seen honey prices?? Not to mention have you noticed that there are hardly ANY bees just flying around! Believe it or not there is a bee shortage. And to combat the bee shortage here we decided to once again put in our own apiary (bee hives).
And now for a short poem:
Bubbles with Shakespeare flair.
Bubbles, bubbles, pop and bobble.
Wind does blow and bubbles wobble.
Boys to run, play and pop!
Bubble blowing mustn’t stop.
I am again reminded of the simple joys of playing in the sand. The boys are surprising even me with how long they will play nicely together in the sandbox. We are still trying to convince Jr. Picaso that he should leave the sand IN the box but other than that he’s really good about the sandbox rules. Lil’Beethoven is also fascinated by the sand but has to be watch as his excitement often leads to tossing of sand. I can’t imagine not letting the boys build, destroy and learn in the sandbox.
Now if we could just convince our cat to stay out of it when he escapes outside……. eewwww!!!
