Today was the day! After three months of waiting we finally got to use our tickets and see a live performance of the music of Star Wars. It was fantastic. C3PO or rather the actor that played him was the narrator. We sat close enough that we could see the faces of some of the musicians without the giant screen. I am in awe of the brass section. Their lips would have to be numb after today. Especially since they played not one but two shows. Hopefully those few hours of rest between show saved their lips!

But the best moments weren’t on stage. They were in the seat next to me as my boys wiggled, conducted and acted with their favorite music moments.

Darth Vader’s music is still the number one music moment for them both.

May the force be with you!

We celebrate but usually in a quiet way. When your state doesn’t allow fireworks it is rather difficult to celebrate with snaps and pops. And when Mother Nature tosses rain into the mix it is hard for the cities to blow fireworks up for you. So this year is quite a quiet celebration.

But I have family here. I have happy children playing at my feet. We have food to fill our bellies and conversation to tickle our minds.

And we have monster cookies.

Happy 4th of July wherever you find yourself.

So many small things in draft.
None that I really want to share on the internet.
It almost makes me wish I kept a pen and paper diary.
I stink at pen and paper diaries.

I am almost as bad about writing letters. Or mailing them. My son wrote out his thank you’s from his party but I have yet to pop them in the mail. Because I suck at getting things to the post office. But I’m addressing them tomorrow. And will mail them or rather I’ll send them with my hubby.

I’d go on but I’m in a funk tonight. And it isn’t a pretty place. Maybe the rain will wash away some of the funk that’s stuck around me at the moment.
