Grace in Small Things

Day 6

1. The patience of our piano teacher on those wiggly, giggly days.

2. Chilly days that make the boys snuggly.

3. Relaxing for a real “vacation” day at home.

4. Cleaning out the basement.

5. Not worrying the wonky internet that winks out as soon as I got this typed up.

Day 7

1. Simple pleasures: raising butterflies just because.

2. Chocolate Wacky Cupcakes

3. Sleeping in.

4. Falling leaves

5. Window shopping (browsing)

1. More spaghetti squash that I think we can eat all from a neglected little patch.

2. Sugar baby pumpkins just waiting to be made into bread, pie and more.

3. Watermelons! Finally ready.

4. Tiny butternut squash just right for a small serving or lunch.

5. Golden Nugget Squash that is somewhat like a sweet potato but not quite that sweet.

Today we celebrated. Tomorrow I hope to get the first round of pictures off the camera and get a few nice photos of my newly minted 8 yr old!

1. Uncle K. making not only Jr’s day but Lil B’s too just by coming and spending time with them.

2. Homemade “out” food made to order: chicken nuggets, cheese balls and cake.

3. Snap Circuits that delight both small boys and big boys.

4. Hot Air Balloons.

5. Fixing the Titanium Command Rig and hearing the delighted yells of the children when it’s working smoothly.
