determines whether we have internet! We’ve had some good growth on our trees which is affecting our internet. So things will be sparse until we get it sorted out fully. Occasionally we’re up for hours and then sometimes I’ll sit down to work on things and *poof* no internet.

I love the trees though so we’ll figure out what we need to do with the antenna rather than chop, chop our trees.

In other news are school year is off with a “hooray!” and so far so good. (tongue in cheek). I am planning on to dilegently type up my weekly overviews this year and add some videos of things we did/do as well. I’m focusing on MY documentation this year too.

Well time for me to get back to the kiddos as Cyberchase is about over. What’s up for the afternoon should be yummy and fun: Chocolate Zucchini Bread!

So I got myself this new domain. Transferred my blog posts. Made a back up even. And set up my new email address. Then didn’t get it configured correctly in my email client so I thought my dear friend was just not emailing. Only to find out that *I* was the one ignoring people! Whoops!

So if you emailed me recently I am probably slightly guilty of not responding. Moving email addresses is a bit of a pain in the arse. Not to mention that I’m actually maintaining my Gmail account so I’m only selectively moving things. For instance my very prolific book swapping message board will stay at Gmail thus saving my tiny inbox at mylittlesoapbox.net from over filling.

I love my yahoogroups but boy do the emails pile up. I think I’m on two right now that generate over 250 messages A DAY. I don’t read them all but I do scan through for interesting topics or news bits I can use. But the sheer amount of message (even when sorted) has meant that my inundated gmail account in hard to go through. And I keep losing messages from friends or family.

How many of you spend sometime  unsigning up for things each year? I’m about on a six month cycle of  evaluation and unsubscribing from things.  I’m hoping for a healthy clean up this time!

Welcome to our new home on the web!

This February I will celebrate my third year of blogging. This is quite an accomplishment for me personally so I decided to give myself a gift. I decided to give myself my own domain name. I’m quite fond of blogger but there are limitations that I was frustrated by. So with my blogoversary coming up AND my 500th post happening this month I made a move!

We had a fantastic evening playing in the snow. It was a great chance to just release some of that pent up cabin fever energy. And we realized that this is the first time the boys have had enough snow to even attempt a snow fort. I was just a little shocked to think that Jr. didn’t know what a “snow fort” was, but in thinking about it he’s not had the opportunities to make one in the past six year. Our easy winters are nice for somethings but snow forts aren’t one of them!

Don tagged me a while ago for Random Things meme. My first installment can be found here for any who wants to know a lot of random crap about me!

Where to start?! Random that’s not quite random. I probably should let me dear hubby do this one to make it truly random.

On second thought maybe not. LOL Okay here goes!

1. When I was little I used to say “Give me a hint” when I needed a boost up to get something. My parents aren’t sure where it came from or how I got “hint” mixed up with “boost.”

2. As a child I watched Buck Rodgers, Solid Gold Dancers and the Mighty Orbots.

3. I’ve lived in the midwest my entire life and within Iowa 98% of the years. We traveled very little when I was a child. I didn’t leave the midwest until I was 19 when we took a trip to Florida as a family. Sometimes I think that’s why I have such a hard time imagining myself else where.

4. When I was married we honeymooned in Colorado. It was the first time I’d every seen real mountains. I fell in love with the mountains and would have stayed. But I had to return to Iowa to finish my degree. I’ve not gotten back to Colorado since.

5. I’ve not yet seen an ocean or a body of water bigger than Lake Oahe in South Dakota. While in Florida we were at Disney therefore didn’t get out to see the beach.

6. I often forget to write actual letters what with the ability to email though I love to receive mail myself. My handwriting is suffering and becoming illegible with my lack of writing.

7. I bought myself a Besty Clark rag doll to replace the one I had as a child.

Yippeeee!!! I made it! I posted every day for a whole month!!

Thank the sweet stars above that its finished. I don’t think I could have made it one more day.

I am now going on small haitus (a day or two). Then when I return I will only be posting when I have a desire to post! At least until next November when I once again challenge myself to come up with something to say 30 times in a row!

I’m posting early today because I off to get a present or two this biggest shopping day of the year. Thankfully the items and the stores I need to go to aren’t open at 4am. Though our guest did get up quite early to go get one of those early items. Uncle K. will arrive later today so I have to get to it to get back and then we’ll be happily ensconced in visiting. Therefore I’m posting now so I don’t have to try to remember to post before 12am tonight!
