Color in the Kitchen

This past week we tie-dyed some of our well worn and much loved shirts which was fun. But my real mission was to dye my kitchen towels. After a year or more of being on duty all the time, my towels were looking shabby and dull. So along with giving a few of my favorite farm shirts second life I gave my kitchen a new level of color.

Behold the candy popper fold. My friend made this one and it came out fabulous. It was instantly my favorite. So today I dyed the rest of my dull towels using this fold!

I folded a pile of towels to get varying degrees of this one. A basic rainbow using a fat accordion fold:

Fold in quarters and swirl twist:

These two are really that bright:

Last but not least my second favorite result:

We had a blast and I now have a drawer full of color to keep me entertained while drying dishes!

More Songs

Added a few more to my personal listening list for the boys. I’ve been poking my dear hubby and plan to poke our dear Uncle K. soon. Both men have quite different tastes to mine so I’m looking forward to seeing where they overlap and what gems the know about that I don’t/didn’t!
