in no particular order……

1. Starting the new year with a head cold makes for a very slow to get going month. Or at least it does when it happens to me.

2. I might be ordering some birds soon. This both delights me and makes me wonder just how many birds I can have before I become that crazy bird lady…..

3. There is not need to actually give me a number for #2. I think I may just prefer to live in blissful ignorance of my crazy bird lady status.

4. I went shopping for new mittens for one of the boys. In January. In Iowa. Where I would like to point out we have snow and cold temperatures. There were no mittens. And the winter gear is on its way out of the store. Bah.

5. I am reading a couple classics this month. First up is Wizard of Oz.
