Nablopomo wins again. But I’m feeling more solid in my blogging so I also consider it a win for me. This last week I took the kids to a play, piano lessons, campfire meeting and homeschool club. In between those I managed to help put meals on the table and keep animals fed too. Laundry didn’t happen but we’re not nekkid yet so I still have a day or two to wash some clothes. One of the most important things I did this week was take an evening for myself. Every time I do take a night for myself I am reminded of just how much it recharges me. But it is so very easy to forget to make time for that.
I managed to write a few short letters to go out in the mail. I caught up with some family members this week too. The boys spent some quality time with Mama shelling beans and watching science programs. We listened to history. We practice piano and lots of math. And yet I wasn’t feeling overwhelmed. I think by focusing more on what I’m doing in the moment rather than what I need to do next or tomorrow I was actually able to get more done.

I know just what you mean! I am always trying to remember to live in the moment. Sometimes it gets hard though, doesn’t it. This past few weeks I have been making sure I take time out to sit and stitch, even if its just for 5 mins. Stitching is like meditation to me. Quiet me time! Last night I sat for about 3 hours, it would have been divine but it was awfully hot! I am enjoying that feeling you get when a picture starts to emerge though!
