Iphoto zips through the pictures as it imports which made me just a bit sniffly at seeing the pictures of my lovely BABY boys. They are a bit past that chubby cheeks stage.
I’ve also given up the ghost on finding an iphoto alternative. Well that’s not exactly true I know of a perfectly good alternative so I guess the more appropriate thing to say is I’ve stopped trying to convince myself to by $600 worth of software that I don’t really need much and haven’t a chance in getting that money back out of ever. Thus I’ll go with what came with my computer.
I did try out Picasa but something kept making it crash. A few other open source alternatives were tried as well but none really had the user friendly interface I’d like.
So I’m loading up iphoto then I’ll select the photos for the annual photo book. In flipping through them last night I think I’ll title this year’s book “The Year of the Blurry Picture and/or the Cheesy Smile!”

“They are a bit past that chubby cheeks stage.”
What’s funny is that in a few years you’ll look at the same pics and say “Oh, they were so LITTLE!”
There’s something about 8 – 12 year-old boys that make all of their pictures turn out goofy. Maybe it’s just that they’re always goofing off and/or hamming it up for the camera.
