We had dragonflies in the garden the other day. At one count we had seven lovely dragonflies landing amongst us as we worked. This only happens a few days of the summer so I handed Jr. our camera to get a few photographs.
I loved watching him sneak up to try to get close up shots.
What was interesting when I downloaded the pictures were the pictures I found that aren’t of the intended subject. Like this one of the vulture flying against the sun. Though I should probably talk to him about taking pictures of the sun!?!?!
And the best part well the best part is when the view of a child captures perfectly that of another.

Yes, I love seeing the world from a child’s point of view. It requires handing over the camera and then keeping one’s mouth closed. Sometimes that’s remarkably hard to do, but it’s so worth it!
awesome!
O…, it’s been a while since I popped over from the feed. I love it!
That said, why I hate giving the camera to DS – there’s always going to be a picture of me buttside!
That said, he loves getting the camera, always has (since 4-ish) and except for too many pictures of himself with his tongue out too close and the above complaint, he usually gets some good shots.

Kids and cameras are a perfect mix and a great way to get them connecting to nature. Seeing the world through a child’s eyes is the best part – we forget all too quickly.
