Meet my Betsey. She’s actually a replacement for my original Betsey who was not at all sadly loved to piece during my childhood. Best way for a toy to go I think. A few years back after I realized that the only girl in my house was…me…I decided to find a replacement Betsey for that wee little girl still inside me.
A few weeks back Threaded Basil was having a giveaway of one of her adorable little dolls. I put my name in the hat as it were and would you believe I won! The little red capped darling landed at my doorstep awhile back I’ve been a remiss it getting her picture and I also was hunting for a name after all a doll should have a name. So I finally found batteries, my camera and a name! So Minda and Betsey very nicely agreed to a quick photo shoot.
Many thanks to Sarah at Threaded Basil!

Love the dolls. What a great giveaway to win! I have a soft spot for toys and books from my childhood, too.
