This week while a good week in many respects has brought to light that our dear Jr. is going through something..a phase. What that something is must be related to being seven. Not since three have we had so many outbursts, moment of frustration and a new one: attitude. To say that I feel like I’m just keeping my head above water this week is an understatement. On top of feeling all the wonderful feelings that a phase brings on, he is also deaf to my voice. Which has meant that any good parenting I’ve come up with hasn’t been heard at all.
Ahhh seven what wonderful phases you are bringing *insert sarcastic face here*

Uh-oh. He’s growing up, spreading his wings, and testing the water. It’s no fun. I hope it all straightens out soon! I’m trying to remember 7–I think we went through that at 8 not 7. I don’t remember it lasting too long.
Get used to that selective deafness, it goes on for about another Ooooh, 10 years or so give or take a couple depending on the kid. One has to work on counter attack strategies or sink! I have absolute faith in you!
