Thanks guys. We'll have to look for a bigger bone. The one we have is only about 8 inches long. He loves to chew on it but he's menace with throwing around! LOL

Anything by Kong. We have the Kongs that you stuff with treats, but ou dogs' favorites are Kong Wubbas. They haven't destroyed one of those yet. (And yes, our dogs destoy other stuff, too.)

Look for soup bones in the grocery store. Feed them raw, because when they're cooked, they splinter easily. Good for Harley's teeth, and he'll love it. We give each dog a new bone once a week.

KONG. It's a type of red rubber thing that is for the dog to chew on, fetch, get stuffed with treats, ect.

But maybe you are thinking about it the wrong way? How about getting something for him to chew on that's intended to be? Like a bone. We get Hobbit one of these cow bones things at the feed store, it lasts about a month. He chews and chews, its good for his teeth, if he swallows it- no big deal (unless you get the soft ones with marrow and then there's a lot LOT of poop), and everyone is happy. When it gets too small throw away the nub (we do at 4 inches, it starts at about 13). You can get them cleaned white or still covered in meaty stuff (we get cleaned white in the summer and meaty in the winter because of the type of ants we have here in the summer). They sell pork ones at the grocer but those are actually hard on the dog's pancreas as are ALL pork products.

It's his nature, don't fight it- direct it!
