of our newly one-less-tooth wonder! That’s right you heard it!
Jr. has lost his first tooth.
I repeat:
Jr. has lost his first tooth
On Wednesday night while brushing his teeth, his very loose tooth was brushed out. Thankfully he was paying attention and did NOT spit it down the drain. The tooth was quickly rushed to the tooth fairy box for its date with the special little lady.
The tooth fairy after accosting her sleeping husband concerning the lack of small bills or change in HER bag found small denomination tender for her nightly rounds. This was exceedingly important here because as its the FIRST tooth the bar was being set in our house for future teeth.
We are eternally grateful that the tooth fairy deemed our Jr.’s wish of $20 a bit high but left him a very appropriate $1 for his tooth.
Jr. is ecstatic.

Woohoo!! The tooth fairy leaves $1 here too, and Chad was in public school when he started losing teeth. He was upset because a lot of the other kids get $2 or even $5 (ack!!). I told him when I was a kid, I got a quarter.
Congrats to Jr!!
CONGRATS! Take lots of pictures!
Thomas used to get $1, too.
Except for the time he was so distraught because he swallowed a tooth. He cried and cried. the tooth fairy wrote him a very nice letter explaining that the $5 for that tooth was only because he was so upset, but from then on it would only be $1. lol
Congratulations and hurray!
The tooth fairy is very erratic around here. She usually leaves $2 (we have a cute $2 coin in Canada) for the first tooth, and usually 25 cents for the subsequent ones (three kids x lots of loose teeth = lots of loose change). For the child who fell out of a tree and lost her loose tooth, the tooth fairy left a little extra. And when we were in the West Indies the other year visiting my parents, the local tooth fairy thought it would be fun to leave 75 cents — one each of Canadian, US, and Eastern Caribbean quarters
Yay! Congratulations to Jr. First the teeth, then the driver’s license.
