Somehow a week or so ago I ended up at Seasonal Surroundings where she talked about her winter reading challenge. I decided at that time I’d be up for it but would probably need the entire winter (January to April) to actually get my reads done! It still hasn’t really snowed here so the boys and I are out as much as we can be which cuts into my “go play toys while I read time”!
I am hoping for three “rounds” of reading. (Jan-Feb, Feb-March and March-April) For round one I selected a variety genre’s since if I stick to just one I go insane. I included one fluff-fiction but it had to be done since I’ve waited for a couple of months and their are people behind me so I only have three weeks to get it read!
Round One Books:
Flotsam By David Wiesner
Let the Northern Lights Erase Your Name By Vendela Vida
Mothers and Sons by Colm Tóibín
Crunchy Cons By Rod Dreher
Sleeping with the Fishes by Mary Janice Davidson
After checking the library wait on a few of them I’ve decided to add a classics list to fill-in with while I wait. Unfortunately I am number 25+ on a couple of them. It could be summer before I see them!!
Ulysses by James Joyce
The Sun Also Rise by Ernest Hemingway
To the Lighthouse by Virginia Woolf
Darkness at Noon by Arthur Koestler
The Age of Innocence by Edith Wharton
What’s on your reading list?
