WEDNESDAY:
We took the boys to see Curious George. It was a really cute movie! Jr. enjoyed it and was tickled that the movie he saw in previews last month would show up on screen this month! Lil’B made it through about half of the movie which is better than expected. The popcorn helped keep him occupied as well as the constant action of George! After a few minutes of trying to encourage him to stay in the general vacinity of the chairs, Daddy opted to vacate the theater and take him for a little walk. According to Daddy, Lil’B was quite content to walk and watch for the construction equipment, mowers and other transient distractions of a vehicle nature.
THURSDAY:
We took the boys to the Science Center today to catch our dear Jr. up on all the movies he’s been missing due to his baby brother’s unhappiness in dark places. I took him to see the Moon Movie which was a lot of fun for him and sort of poignant for me. It was a spectacular view of the moon and I am glad to have gone! Its just hard to not feel some emotion when they dedicated it to those astronauts who have perished in the pursuit. In my minds eye I flash to the space shuttle Challenger exploding…..a part of my sons’ “history” that I saw happen.
Daddy took Jr. to the star theater to watch “Cardboard Rocket” and small planetarium show. I am not certain what its about because as soon as it was over Jr. dashed to the racecar area and was off on another tangent……Lego Races.
We played for awhile longer but Lil’B was running napless. And after a small accident involving one very tired little boy, running and tripping that ended with a small rug-burn bonker, we decided to head home.
FRIDAY
We were outside most of today. Actually Daddy & the boys played in the sandbox, on the swingset, with bicycles and all sorts of other toys while I mowed and mowed and mowed. After a bit Joe the Mower Guy (as the kids call him) came and he mowed too. Thankfully! So our pasture was mowed also. I took a break so I didn’t become burnt mommy in the sun while Daddy mowed and mowed. Anyway you get the picture……we got the lawn taken care of today!
Later in the afternoon we took some additional stuff over to our friends garage for the sale Saturday. The kids played with all the neat toys and of course their friends too! While I chatted and hung out for awhile. Finally with tummies rumbling we took off for some supper. I am still thinking the kids are bottomless pits for food these days!!
